This headline in the Toronto Star caught my eye: Toronto company wants to be Canada’s custom guitar shop.

I have a few custom shop guitars. Mostly from the fine builders at the Fender and Gretsch custom shops. They make some incredibly great guitars.

Frank Brothers Guitar Company is a custom builder that I have not come across before. Although they have been around since 2013. The Music Emporium did a great in-depth piece on the company here.

Tim, Nick and Jon come across as very passionate about their craft. And I will have to look into their instruments. We have a few amazing luthiers in Canada. I did a recent post about Linda Manzer and her guitars which you can find here.

So many great choices in the market. And yet so many designs are replicas of earlier guitar models.

Their signature model looks like a beautiful and refreshingly unique instrument.
