Cleaver Caster

The process of embedding the Cleaver Caster logo and finishing the guitar neck started this week. And the pressure builds as the project needs to be completed for Monday. So many things on the go right now.

First we gather all the requisite material: water, varnish and the guitar neck.

The logo was printed on a special type of paper. To release the backing, Matthew soaked the logo in water for 60 seconds.

With the backing released, the neck needed to be treated with a generous coating of varnish to embed the logo into the wood.

The logo was left to dry overnight. Matthew then began the process of applying the finish coat to the guitar neck. There will be four finish coats. Hopefully we will have everything ready for assembly by Sunday.

Looking just great, Matthew! I am sure you will be bringing the completed instrument into school on Monday with a great amount of justified pride. Well done. Keep posting the assembly pictures…..

I look much older in these photos than in the later ones. :\
I though age would never have caught up with me.
