Finishing the Cleaver Caster
Matthew finished the primer coat and prepared the body for final finishing. After sanding he needed to wipe the body down to ensure that it was absolutely clean and free of dust and grime.
We were in a commercial paint shop and Oscar helped to guide Matthew through the process of spray painting the guitar.
A wonderful red body begins to take shape.
Multiple coats are applied and between coats the instrument is checked for any paint runs or irregularities.
The finish turned out so well. It is back home and curing for the night. Over the next few days we will need to finish the neck and then the exciting part of the project begins: building the instrument itself.
