Diamond Memory Lane 2 Review

Short review. The Diamond Memory Lane 2 is an awesome pedal and I love its sound.

Shipping the dual 9V to 18V reverse polarity cables for the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 took a little bit of time. 50 days.

The email exchange follows.

Hello,

I had placed this order two weeks ago and I have not received any communication on the status of the order. I wanted to confirm that this transaction was received and that the cable will be shipped.

Thanks.

Richard

Hi Richard, thanks for your email. Your order would have been processed when we returned from the Christmas break on the 3rd of January. Normally transit time to you should only be about 3 or 4 days so it’s definitely overdue. I’ll have another cable sent out to you this week. If you end up with two of them, don’t worry about it, no need to return one.

Regards and sorry for the inconvenience,
Aimish

Hello Aimish,

Thank you for the prompt response and thank you for following up on the cable order. I also wanted to thank you for making such a fine pedal. I picked mine up at Lauzon Music in Ottawa. I use several delays on the pedal board and the Memory Lane 2 stays engaged almost all of the time when I am playing — such a wonderful, rich analog sound.

Best regards,
Richard

Hello Aimish.

We are now into February and still no sign of the cable. As far as I know, the people in Kingston, Ontario can still receive packages and I have no issue receiving deliveries from a wide range of companies.

I also received my Diamond Memory Lane 2 registration card returned back by Canada Post — no such address for your company. Perhaps your company has moved. Is there a new address where I should send the registration card?

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. At this point, I am not all that concerned about the registration of the pedal. I would simply like to receive the cable that I paid for in December.

Richard

Hi Richard, my apologies, I’m not sure why you haven’t received the cable, it makes no sense. I’m going to send another one to you via Expedited Post which will have a tracking number. Also, our current address is:

Diamond Pedals
2-800A Windmill Road
Dartmouth, NS
B3B 1L1
Your warranty card must have our old address on it of 75 Akerley Blvd?
Regards,

Aimish

Hi Aimish,

The cable has still not arrived and it has been another week. Could you send me the tracking number? I’d like to know where it is in transit.

The warranty card was from a unit purchased directly from Lauzon Music in Ottawa at the end of December. The card had the old address. I will send the registration to the new address.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard, thanks for the email. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to send it with a tracking number without it being ridiculously expensive so I just sent it out again via lettermail but it didn’t go out until this week as we got hammered with snowstorms last week.. You should definitely have it by Monday or Tuesday. Again my apologies, I’m not sure what has been going wrong.

Regards,

Aimish

Thanks Aimish. I suspected that there was no tracking number. Hopefully the product was at least shipped by now.

I’ll contact you again on Wednesday.

Hey Richard, glad to hear it’s there… again, my apologies for whatever happened. I’ll be curious to see if the other one makes it there or ends up back here.

Thanks for your patience,

Aimish
