Washington D.C.

We are now on vacation and making our way to the Great Smoky Mountains for March Break.

We decided to make a stopover in Washington D.C. as a friend of mine wanted me to drop by whenever I was next in town. Here is a shot of his place. Not too shabby. Very well protected.

But the real encounter with friends took place earlier this morning. We left Baltimore at 8:30 a.m. and made our way to the hotel in Washington. We checked in to our hotel and then, at around 10 a.m., we decided to make our way to the Smithsonian.

We took a cab over to the Air and Space Museum. And, as we turned the corner to the museum, I noticed a family walking along the sidewalk. Friends from Kingston. What are the odds?

We saw them again at lunch. I caught them with my camera from about 200 feet away.

Wonderful people and what a delight to see them at the Smithsonian.
