Vacation 2010

As part of year-end planning, I like to focus on building memories with the family. And this generally means, amongst other things, vacation planning.

For March break, I booked a week at a cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. We have been there a couple of times before. We enjoy hiking in the national park and hanging out playing games and watching movies in the cabin. I love shooting the various waterfalls and rivers in the park and the towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, although high on Americana, offer lots of options for entertainment. It is a great spot to take a family.

We will be staying at the High Expectations cabin this year. The cabins in the area are really nice and well-priced particularly with a high Canadian dollar. Gatlinburg is about a 15-hour drive from our home.
