District 9

I took a bit of a break last night and headed out to a movie with my son and some friends of mine. District 9.

Interesting movie and very different from what I expected. And I am not sure whether I enjoyed the movie.

One reviewer summed it up this way:

District 9 speaks with a loud, clear voice and by defying as many science fiction conventions as it embraces, it becomes a singular movie-going experience.

It is a singular experience. Very unique, unsettling and, at times, peculiar.
