A few of my former colleagues at the bank sent me emails about a new executive announcement. Although it took a few months, a replacement for my old role has been found.
Although I retired from the bank last June, I still find myself thinking about the team that I left behind. I have many fond memories of some excellent people.
I suppose it is hard to spend a decade working closely with colleagues without some sense of loss when I no longer see them on a regular basis. I do miss them.
One of the emails from a former colleague included a very nice sentiment: replaced but not forgotten.
