The old NFH continue to come back to visit some of their hacks in the neighborhood. And when they do, my goodness. So utterly disruptive. I had hoped when they moved out that we would never seem them again. They were at it in fine form last night. Right out in front of my house.
And that got me to thinking about odds. Those folks had moved in here because of a major lottery win. They ran out of money and had to move out. But not before they disrupted our lives for almost 4 years.
A detailed review of the probability of hitting the big prize in Lotto 649 can be found here. Basically the odds are 1 in 13,983,816. To put those odds in perspective consider the probability of being killed in a flood. A much better chance. And, for those of us who ride bicycles: 1 in 4,919.
