A New Ride
For some reason, I do not enjoy the process of changing cars. It is time consuming and car dealers can be difficult. My BMW goes back in a couple of weeks and I needed to make a decision this past week-end on a new vehicle.
I know that it is all relative but I had decided in advance that I would do a much better job of ensuring good value for the money on a new vehicle. In fact, I had originally thought about going down to one car as we get ourselves ready for the retirement years.
However, it is still too early. With our children still living at home and with busy lifestyles, one car would put an unnecessary strain on the family.
We looked at a fair number of cars from Acura, Audi, BMW, Infiniti and Lexus. And we decided on an Acura TL Type S. Black.
It is supposedly one of the most easily maintainable vehicles out there because of its quality.
I will look forward to your impressions.
Thanks Don. I will post my impressions.
The Honda or Acura (I think you call it that in America) are well built great cars. But you might want to think of something a bit more flash – like the new Jaguar XF (although I want one you might not.)
Hope your car choosing goes ok.
Was it quality of service (or lack of it) at BMW that caused you to move, or the quality of car itself? Or both? Just interested, as a BMW owner….
The 530i was a wonderful car. Sadly, the sales experience was not as wonderful.
Looking forward to hearing your impressions.
Having driven a TSX, owned an RSX and an RDX, I have to admit that I love Acura vehicles for the value, performance and handling. Yes, there are more powerful vehicles but none that give you the same value.
I hope you enjoy the TL as much as I’m enjoying the RDX!
