New Design
It took a lot longer than I thought. Another redesign for the blog. Trending more towards the minimalist side of things. I hope you like the new look.
I have a couple of things to fix. I forgot to style ordered and unordered lists in my posts so if you dig back in the archives, a few things might seem out of sorts. All that will be cleared up tomorrow. But for now, I wanted to get the site back up and running.
Funny. During the March break, I made a list of things that I wanted to get finished off. Vacation time becomes a time to catch up on many things. So, aside from the blog redesign, what else was on my list? Taxes, sorting cables in the studio, finishing up a friend’s website, redesigning the studio website and renewing domains and hosting platforms.
To which I should add: relaxing. Although I think I left that one off the list.
Very nice, Richard! We really like it.
It was great to see you, Lorraine and Matthew yesterday
Trevor & Le-Anne
Thanks Trevor and Le-Anne!
Nice, clean look, Richard, however….I am finding the white text a bit hard to read against the light blue background. Similarly, this grey text against the white background. Perhaps due to a number of factors:
1) my aging eyes (half a century plus one at the end of the month).
2) my monitor faces a window
3) too little contrast between background and text.
Likely no. 1 🙂
Other than that – I like it!
Hope you have a good rest of your March Break! RELAX!
Rob
Hi Rob,
The site is best viewed on a Mac with Firefox. In testing the site on PCs with Internet Explorer, the text degrades to a very thin style font as opposed to the highly readable Lucida Grande on the Mac. Like you, I found it hard to read on that platform. No real surprise. IE on PC is not the best browsing experience but I can make it easier for those folks. So, sometime over the next week I will find a better font choice for the PC.
I did update the default PC font to prefer Verdana over Arial. About as good as a PC can get.
