Road Trip

We made the drive down to Nashville and arrived yesterday. I had prepared the route with Microsoft’s Street and Trips GPS edition. Very slick. The GPS updated our progress in real time and we were able to navigate the entire journey without getting lost.

I must admit that I sometimes take all of this technology for granted. Years ago, when we would take our family vacations in Florida, a map and a keen eye was the sole basis for navigation.

Imagine being able to precisely identify location within a few metres. Instantly. And using that information within context.

I wonder what my children will take for granted in ten years time?
