It does not seem that long ago that I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Hypertension. My blood pressure was at 153/92.
I began a program which consisted of a calorie reduced, low sodium diet as well as daily exercise. The start date was January 8th, 2007. Over the past six weeks, I have lost 13 pounds. My blood pressure came down and, after a month, my blood pressure went from Stage 1 Hypertension to Prehypertension.
I had my blood pressure checked today. 116/69! I am now in the optimal range for blood pressure. These lifestyle changes really worked for me. No stepping back.
Time to exercise.
