A friend passed me a note on a fingerstyle player named Pete Huttlinger. You can see him play a live version of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition here. Very nice.
He is quite accomplished with an impressive bio. You can learn more about Pete and his music here.

Stevie Wonder is probably the coolest cat I’ve ever heard of. I absolutely love that song and Pete’s rendition (with all the parts) is pretty spot on. Great clip.
I gave it a go on my acoustic guitar. A lot harder to execute than it appears. Pete is a very talented fingerstyle player.
It’s worth checking out Pete Huttlinger’s instructional DVDs as well. Two are quite good for someone at my level (intermediate/late beginner)–“Essential Exercises for Fingerstyle Guitar”, and “A Guitarist’s Guide to Better Practicing”. The latter DVD explains how to practice effectively, including how to best use a metronome, and how to learn a piece effectively and play it cleanly. He explains why his advice “never play a piece faster than you can pay it perfectly” coupled with proper use of a metronome builds speed.
