Riders on the Storm

As I was driving in to work this morning, I noticed a large Global TV news truck on the side of the street about a block or so away from my house.

The immediate area was devastated. We had a violent storm go through our area last night. I’m not sure if a tornado touched down or whether it was high winds that caused the damage. The damage was severe. And it only impacted a small area of our neighbourhood. In all of my years living in southern Ontario I have never seen dozens of uprooted and splintered trees in a subdivision. I could not tell whether any of the homes in that area had received wind damage.

Thankfully, all of our trees and outbuildings are fine.
