When I tell people that I have a recording studio in my home they generally think of something like this setup below.
I have something much nicer of course. But I think of having something different one day. Perhaps like this.
Walt Disney’s philosophy: dream, believe, dare, and do.
I just want to know when you snuck into my house and took this picture of my studio! I am sure I have half the gear in the picture!
Oh the days of my 1981 Fostex A-8 Reel to Reel deck and Model 350 8 channel mixer – 1/4″ tape running at 15 IPS seems so simple now….mixdown to the A-2 Deck. Oh the glory days! R
I could not resist. Whenever we have first-time visitors to the studio they look around the place in a bit of a state of shock almost as though they were expecting something a little more “casual” 😉
A lot of great recordings are done with tape. Sometimes simple is better!
