I have engaged Terry Medwedyk of Group One Acoustics to help me with the studio control room redesign. We plan to meet this Saturday morning before one of the sessions start so that he can listen to the room and assess its overall condition.
The acoustics in one of the isolation rooms is also under review. This one I can handle on my own. I will use the approach recommended by John Slayer. An example of the wall unit detail is shown below. I have a few weeks off over the summer months and perhaps I can enlist some help to build these units out. The corner traps are similar. I would need to construct two corner traps and three wall units. I will also need to find some acoustic drapery to tame down the reflections from the glass doors and the one wall of glass. The picture below gives some idea as to how this little project should turn out.
