My Own Studio
Keifer Sutherland, the star of the hit series 24, is an avid guitar collector and he also has a small recording studio. You know, one of those tiny bedroom studios with an SSL G series console and roughly 15,000 square feet of recording space.
Jeff Cooper was the architect for this high-end facility.
A Canadian, a guitar player and a recording studio owner. Just like me!
😉
Hi – I saw a small portion of a TV special about a new recording artist “Rocco” (maybe) that is recording at Keifer’s studio. It gave a web site to order the CD but I didn’t write it down. He (Rocco) and, Keifer of course, are awesome!! and I would love to have the CD. Can you please help me. My email address is sar@mtaonline.net. Thanks a bunch in advance. Have a great day – the sun is shining in Alaska – we love summer. Allison 🙂 That’s a side-ways smiley face!

Hi! My name is Heidi Cabral A/R for the the artist Santucci. He plays acoustic emo, rock. I can not compare it to anything. When he starts playing everyone stops what they are doing and stares until he is done. We have an independent record label called pro-tuned records. Santucci originates from Boston, MA. He is a struggling artists who has been playing music since he was 2. He is currently 27. He plays drums, guitar, and bass. His specialty is the acoustic guitar. I was hoping for some feedback, Please. The website is http://www.myspace.com/santuccirocks. He has played in Hawaii, New York, Conneticut, and Massachusetts, Rhode Island. We hear over and over how good he is and people keep telling us to keep with it because he is going to go somewhere with his music. We are having difficulty finding the outlets for this. Is there anything that you could do for us. Even advice would be wonderful. I hope to be hearing from you soon. He has a 6 song ep out called broken promises. Thank You for your time.

Thank you again for your time Heidi
Hello Heidi,
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I did take a listen to Santucci’s material. Let me share something with you that I just read that I think hits the mark here:
“Follow your passion. Pour in your heart and soul. Settle for nothing less than excellence. And with enough hard work and faith in yourself, you can realize your dreams.”
The music business is very, very competitive. And for a musician to achieve commercial success, which is to say enough success to make a decent living, is exceptionally difficult. Not impossible, but very difficult. The reason is largely due to the number of musicians, many very talented musicians, competing to be heard. To be different from the rest. To reach a wide audience.
Santucci has a unique voice and a unique character which comes through his songs. There may be a market for his music. I would suggest that you find a credible producer in your area to see if he/she would be willing to work with Santucci.
For myself, I have a stable of artists that I work with and I am not taking on any new talent.
You would need to contact Keiffer’s studio through Jude Cole. I cannot comment on their ability to take on new artists. Bear in mind that I am in the Toronto, Canada area. Ironworks is in the Silver Lake area of L.A.
All the best,
Richard
