My son wanted me to post this video clip of Skip Prokop drumming in the studio. The video, sadly, is quite dark due to the mood setting of the lighting in the studio.
Tracking went pretty well. We have solid takes for the drums. The bass had a little trouble sound-wise. The two Jazz basses were really buzzy (electrical buzz). I jury rigged a grounding system and ran the basses through an Ampeg SVT3Pro head. Not sure I’m pleased with the tone. We’ll see.
We used Sabian AAs throughout. Some were hand-hammered. Skip is back in the studio this week-end. You are welcome to come over to the studio and take a look. We are setting up on Friday evening for the Saturday session. You could drop by either Friday or Saturday. Let me know.
That sounds awsome. Friday is pretty tight will youth group and everything, but if you guys are starting fairly early on Saturday morning I would love to stop by and possibly see Skip play. If you know what time that would be great.

AndyB. here. Skip is sooo tight. How did the tracking go on the weekend?
