Steve Jobs
Seeing that it was time to resupply the reading list, I took a trip to the local big box bookstore and gathered some new reading material.
Geek stuff:
- DHTML and CSS Advanced by Jason Cranford Teague
- Sams Teach Yourself CSS in 24 Hours by Kynn Bartlett
- The Second Coming of Steve Jobs by Alan Deutschman
Fun stuff:
- The Broker by John Grisham
I started reading the Second Coming of Steve Jobs. I had read John Sculley’s book about his time at Apple and his role in kicking Jobs out of the company that Jobs had founded. The Second Coming of Steve Jobs is a great read so far particularly for the Apple fan.
Hey Richard…
I listened to this book on my iPod… it’s a great book – if somewhat irrevrent at times. I enjoyed some of the background between Steve and Bill Gates… ohhh and how he enjoyed his “triumphant” return…
Apple fans should probaby thank Pixar more than anything for Apple’s re-emergence 🙂
Rod
Fascinating character study. He seems to have struggled with a strong sense of perfectionism and an overwhelming desire to prove himself as a winner and not a fluke. My kinda guy 😉
