Sponge Bob Square Pants

Sponge Bob will be making his film debut on November 19. Avril Lavigne has recorded the movie’s theme song. The album, scheduled for release on November 9, will also feature music from The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Shins, Ween and Motorhead.

Jeff Hutchins has been the driving force for the sound design work of Sponge Bob. He has received 12 award nominations including an Emmy award and four Golden Reel Awards for his work on the Nikelodeon show Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Jeff and his team create somewhere between 50 and 100 new sound effects per episode on the TV show. Jeff did the sound design and edits for the 30 million dollar Sponge Bob Square Pants film.

I make these observations because my seven year old boy will insist on taking me to this movie. I will have an interest in the presentation of the audio material although I won’t have the same level of interest in Sponge Bob.

I would like to get in touch with Jeff Hutchins – “Jeff if you receive this please write me an e-mail”. I am still down in Mexico City – but am contemplating relocating to Cancun. I’d like to catch up with you soon.

Hi Sylvia. I agree. Sponge Bob is a pretty compelling picture. You can find such images using Google’s search engine. You can also save a copy of the Sponge Bob image in my post. Copy the image file to your own computer, upload it to your webserver and then use the following html to place it on your page:

If you are using a service like myspace or blogger, you will need to look up the instructions to see how to upload and display your pictures. It should be pretty easy to do. Good luck!
