A few years back, I had a filling crack and it splintered a rear molar. Lost over half the tooth. The dentist tried a root canal but it did not hold. Another molar on the opposite side had a similar issue. Two extractions. A little different from extracting wisdom teeth and tougher on older patients like me. We take longer to heal. 

Unfortunately in my case there were complications with the surgery and that is what caused the pain. Most people are fine in a few days. I happened to fall in the &quot;other&quot; category. The good news is that I am healing well and I have no pain.</description>
