Session number three with the dental surgeon last night. He removed the packing material from the wound and determined that the clotting agent and antibiotics had worked. I will continue to experience pain over the next three to five days but it will diminish over time and within the week I should be fully healed. No need of any further sessions with the surgeon. And although he is a very nice man, I have no desire to see him at the dental office ever again.
I did take another painkiller last night and I was able to enjoy a full night’s rest. The first since the surgery of almost two weeks ago. My doctor indicated that I would need to manage the pain over the next few days. And this morning, with the help of some extra strength Ibuprofen, I am readily managing the pain.
