Internet Explorer Beta 2

February 9, 2006

I had a bit of a debate with a friend over why I prefer to use Firefox over Internet Explorer. One reason is support for web standards and, in particular, CSS.

IE 7 should be much improved whenever it gets released. I have been using IE 7 Beta 2 which is available as a download here. I will show you two screen shots of a fully validated XHTML and CSS website. I’ll leave it to you to guess which one is from IE and which one is from Firefox.

Back to a real browser for me. I’ll check up on IE 7 later. Maybe.

I just checked out the cite with IE6 and it was fine. I guess if you have IE7 you should upgrade it 6? Who knows.

Yup. I do understand that IE 7 is still in beta. I was under the impression that it would have stronger CSS support for beta 2. I guess we’ll see when the release version comes out.

I do like the new look of the UI.
